Resolution Honoring Tim Boyd upon his retirement as an editor

WHEREAS, Tim Boyd served as editor of the Kansas-Nebraska Baptist Digest from 2004 until his retirement in 2019; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Boyd led the convention’s newspaper to expand its digital and social media presence during his tenure; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Boyd continues to consult with the state convention in the area of media production; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Boyd formerly pastored churches for two years in Oklahoma and 19 years in Kansas; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Boyd served as a professor and the department head for social sciences at Hannibal-LaGrange University; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Boyd holds degrees from Florence State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, including a Ph.D.; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Boyd served as president of the Association of State Baptist Publications from 2017 to 2018; now, therefore, be it

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Association of State Baptist Publications, meeting virtually, June 23, 2020, expresses gratitude to God for the ministry of Tim Boyd, and be it further

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, we commend our brother for his good work in Baptist journalism and media through the Kansas-Nebraska Baptist Digest; and be it finally

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, we pledge our prayers and friendship to Tim and his wife, Evelyn, as they serve the Lord in different roles throughout their retirement.
